Interview with the Belgium international under 18 Dieter Creemers (17) from KRC Genk:
Fussball-Talente: Talking about you. What position do you play. What's your strength and your weekness?
Hello, my name is Dieter Creemers , 17 years old and i play for the National Team of Belgium U18 and for KRC Genk . I am a goalkeeper .
Strength : i am 1.93 m tall which is a great advantage by high balls , good insight and 1v1.
weakness : kicking with my left foot could still improve
Fussball-Talente: What was the reason for you to start playing football? Did you get support from your family?
My father was active in football ( goalkeeper too ), so i grew up with it , I started to play football and i liked it .
it is the best sport ever !
Yes my family always supported me in my choices . They give me good advice and i try to follow it .
they support every game if possible .
But they are very critical also ...
Fussball-Talente: How would you judge your personal performance last season?
I played a very constant stable season , conceded few goals against .
I learned a lot and developed good . Furthermore the games for National Team gave me another challenge and made me stronger ! So i am very pleased with this season !
Fussball-Talente: How often do you practice in a week? What is the main focus
We train at least 5 times a week and i do some individual programs . The main focus is goalkeepertraining ofcourse , individual and integration .
My focus is always on improving
Fussball-Talente: What about your education? Is it possible to coordinate school and football?
School and Club work together quite good .
Everything is well organised and arranged so i do have any problem at school .
this year i finish high school so i can put my focus even more on my career .
Fussball-Talente: How do you rate the practice grounds and environment of KRC Genk?
Excellent , the pitches and lockerrooms are always perfect . One of the best in Belgium
Fussball-Talente: Could you discribe the feeling when you play your first match for the Belgium under 19 team?
It was quite an amasing feeling , very special to play for the National Team .It is an honor to play for your country , being one of the best in your age-category .
Before the game i was a bit nervous but once you get on the field , it disappears and you focus on playing the best game ever .
Last week , we won the Suwon JS Cup in South Korea , in the WK stadium for 10000 people , it was a fantastic feeling and a unforgetable moment !
Fussball-Talente: What do you think are the main differences between Belgium and German youth national teams?
I think German teams meet more often then us , so they train and play more together and get used to eachother .
Furthermore i think they are often fysical stronger and more mature then us .
Fussball-Talente: What was your brightest moment of your football career?
besides winning the Suwon Cup , the news that i could sign for Anderlecht when i was playing for Lommel United !
Because playing for Anderlecht was a big step forwards in my career .
I owe a lot to Anderlecht
Fussball-Talente: What are your targets for the future?
For now , i still need to learn , by training with strong first team goalkeepers every day and play my games .
In 2 years i want to become nr 1 in a first level team .
Fussball-Talente: What is your favourite team beneath KRC Genk?
My favorite team is Real Madrid .
