Belgium will compete in the UEFA European Under-21 Championship play-offs after coming from behind to defeat Greece 2-1 and relegate them to the runners-up spot in Group 4 qualifying. Both goals were scored by Faris Haroun (KRC Genk).
A 1-1 draw in Norway was enough to keep Bosnia-Herzegovina in the tournament. The goal for Bosnia-Herzegovina was scored by Vedad Ibisevic.
A scoreless draw in Turkey keep Israel alive. England kept on believing after a late goal gave his team a 3-2 victory in Switzerland and a place in the UEFA European Under-21 Championship play-offs for the second year running. The goals for England were scored by James Milner, Theo Walcott and David Nugent.
Goals by Bosko Jankovic and Milan Smiljanic in the 2-0 win over Lithuania helped Serbia to reach the play-offs. Substitute Tomás Frejlach scored both goals as the Czech Republic defeated Belarus to win qualifying Group 9.
Russia is qualified for the play-offs after a 3-1 win against Hungary. Bazhenov scored twice for Russia, the other goal came from Denisov.
Qualified for the play-off stage are: Italy, Germany, France, Russia, Spain, Bosnia.Herzegovina, Serbia, Belgium, Israel, England, Czech Republic, Portugal, Bulgaria and Sweden.
The seven winners of the play-offs and host Holland will compete in the Under 21 EURO.
